This month we had the pleasure of interviewing the owner of Nvee Nail Shop, Nevaeh! As a young entrepreneur with a passion for beauty, Nevaeh found success in the industry. Here’s what she had to say about her journey as a small business owner:
Nvee Nail Shop is located in Rochester, New York, with services ranging from nail enhancement services such as acrylic and Gel-X nails, to acrylic and gel pedicures. Nevaeh’s most popular service is medium to long acrylic nails.
Nevaeh has created value for her customers through her creativity and freestyle art skills. She creates her own designs, making Nvee Nail Shop stand out from competitors. Coupled with that, Nevaeh puts her customers first, ensuring that there is clear communication so she can satisfy their nail needs.

The road to success isn’t always an easy one; Nevaeh notes that she had her worries about opening her own business. Being a young entrepreneur and trying to manage school at the same time was one of her biggest challenges. Nevertheless, Nevaeh persevered and plans to expand her expertise through licensure and gaining her nail educator certificate, so she can teach others the craft. She also aims to work in the real estate industry, with the overall goal of helping other entrepreneurs. She aspires to create healthy environments that will support others in the beauty industry.
Nevaeh knows a good trend when she sees one, the most exciting new trend to her being Gel-X. She tells us that Gel-X is not only a healthy, safer alternative, compared to acrylic nails, but it also comes with new opportunities for creative designs. Gel-X has become one of her most popular services.
